About me...
I'm Chris Zachariou, a poet from Yialousa, Cyprus. My major influences are the poet Odysseas Elytis and the writer Nikos Kazantzakis, whose ideas about the human soul and the struggle between good and evil resonated deeply with me.
While I am no longer interested in debating the existence of God, Kazantzakis's ideas continue to inspire me. I believe that the constant struggle of man against evil is what gives our lives meaning.

In my poetry I explore the complexities of the human condition, from love and pain to sin and redemption. I strongly believe that poetry has the power to connect us to our shared humanity and evoke deep emotions. I often use metaphor and symbolism to add depth and complexity to my work, such as numbers, colours, and scents

While I'm open to feedback and criticism, I prefer not to discuss the existence of God. Instead, I'm interested in exploring the human experience and our ongoing search for meaning and purpose in life.
In addition to writing poetry, I enjoy reading the works of other writers, such as Pablo Neruda, Federico Lorca, and Gabriel García Márquez who explore similar themes to my own.
